Confirmation calls are critical to the success of your event. Making the effort to confirm attendance a day or so in advance increases the likelihood the registrant who made the reservation will attend.
Although you may choose to have our call center make confirmation calls on your behalf for a modest additional charge, we highly recommend that you or someone on your team make these calls to begin to establish a personal relationship with your attendees. This allows you to reference memorable conversations when you meet them at the event, or you may find that you prefer that the registrant not attend and handle that situation appropriately in advance during your call. You may also find that the prospect has a specific question that would best be handled in a one-on-one meeting. Many presenters report securing appointments during the confirmation call process.
You can initiate these calls by inquiring about your attendee’s special needs, such as food allergies, wheelchair access, hearing or sight limitations, or providing assurances about COVID safety. If needed, you can also reassure them that there is no obligation to purchase anything, and you are looking forward to meeting them in person.
